WHAT IS POWER FLUSHING?
Over time, it’s common for central heating systems to build up sludge, rust and debris (more so if your boiler isn’t routinely serviced). This clutter builds up in the pipes of your heating system, which can result in poor heating quality, increased bills and other issues.
Power flushing uses water to clear all the rust, sludge and particulate from your pipes, leaving you with a clean and healthy central heating system. By getting your system flushed, you can enjoy a better quality of heat, and potentially increase the lifespan of your system.
Glasgow City Plumbers is fully equipped to handle power flushing throughout the area. We offer flexible appointment slots, and always aim to complete work in a timely manner, minimising disruption to your day. We have over 20 years’ experience in central heating, and offer competitive prices on all services.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A POWER FLUSH?
Our engineers will set up the power flushing equipment, and send water through your system, both ways, to dislodge grime and debris. Additional tools may be required to remove stubborn blockages. After clearing the pipes, they will add a chemical neutraliser and an inhibitor fluid, to balance the PH and present future corrosion, respectively.
Depending on the size of your system and its condition, it can take anywhere from a few hours to a full day.
